Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

There are literal tears streaming down my cheeks from suppressing a laughing fit over the scene with Nedry!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

That was comedy GOLD.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I enjoyed these.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I used to use Sir Terry's original of that very first line in the philosophy link as a tagline here, to wit...

Make a man a fire and it'll keep him warm all night, but light a man afire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

YOU GUYS.

First three chapters of The Heart of the Circle are available here: [link]

Go and read! (I'm so excited we'll be able to talk about it here).

Our wings are not tired.

So, I joined a Monthly Book Club group on FB, maybe to be more random about what I choose to read. I miss the F2F book clubs I have participated in previously. None of the June books were on my To Read list, so looking forward to seeing what happens.

The picks for June: Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney, Bed and Breakfast and Murder by Patti Larsen, Genesis Girl by Jennifer Bardsley, and The Ghost Writer by Alessandra Torre

First I need to finish The Bear and the Nightingale, which I just started.

Herding cats for fun

I liked all three volumes of that trilogy! Vasya is my kind of heroine.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm only a couple chapters in, but it was a nice setup. Looking forward to seeing where it heads. Also, I prefer series because I can hang on to favored characters longer.

The status is NOT quo.

I *adore* the whole Bear and Nightingale trilogy.

Hey. New board.

Shir I will try to read that soon but the built in e-reader is not adapting well to my phone. It looks good! I admit to not knowing anything; are you the author?
