You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Huh.

It's the weekend after next?

Oh, wait. No, I've got SL as a house-guest that week. ...unless I strongarm her into dog-sitting for me...

Errrr.

Plus there's the whole "you're going to Chicago for what? And not visiting our brother while you're there?" Thing.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, you could always not mention that you're going to Chicago...

Katie, my sister lives a mile from me. It's pretty much impossible for me to duck out of town for a weekend invisibly.

We can give Chicago a code name!

Call it Minneapolis.

Ah. Yes, good point. I forget not everyone has three thousand miles...

Errr. Tempting as it is, I'm already going to Portland the weekend after that, and I should be saving up my cash for a trip to the Antipodes this winter, if I can swing it.

So y'all will have to toast me in effigy, 'kay? And ping me on Friday night after the SG-1 viewing party! *grin*

Does anybody else here read Lazuli's "Repossession?" A big revelatory chapter came out last night, and I'm afraid I snickered at one of the big, emotional reveals. I've loved the story, except for some big-ass issues, and I think the biggest problem is insufficient ground-laying for "The Reason For It All." Any kind of negative response, though, is looked down upon on the mailing list.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. I kept up with that to about chapter 100 (!) but I just couldn't anymore.
