You are correct.

They are incorrect, and should be corrected.

Well, to some people here, everything north of Santa Clarita is Northern California.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. I thought the only thing north of Santa Barbara was San Francisco.

No, there's a bunch of cows for a couple of hundred miles in between.

SLO's north of it, IIRC.

At least, I'm fairly certain Santa Barbara was part of our last leg down, but it's all kind of a blur.

I sent in this Pedantic Canon Correction.

Sunnydale is explicity said to be in Southern California.

From Welcome to the Hellmouth:

"The front of the affluent Southern California school gleams darkly in the moonlight."

"A day as bright and colorful as the night was black and eerie. Students pour in before first bell, talking, laughing. They could be from anywhere in America, but for the extremity of their dress and the esoteric mania of their slang. This is definitely So Cal."

Buffy also says about Sunnydale that it's "two hours on the freeway from Neiman Marcus." This would put it near Santa Barbara.

oh-- that's right. Silly me for forgetting, especially since Sean was mooing at them for most of those miles.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Silly me for forgetting, especially since Sean was mooing at them for most of those miles.

My brain just did a whacky pop culture dance at this mental image.

It went something like this: why is Sean mooing at cows? Does he speak cow? Do the cows understand?

Brainslide over to The Horse Whisperer.

The Cow Whisperer! Ha! Ha ha!

What fandom has cows? Smallville!

Now I really want a Smallville story where it is either about or makes reference to a Cow Whisperer. Yes. It must be so.

Hee. I'm not sure why Sean was mooing at the cows. By the way back ND was describing it as a Pavlovian response. I just thought it was funny.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies
