Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

And yet it's incomplete. It's missing "pego".

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

You'll have to e-mail the owner, amych. (Oh, the things that fandom teaches us. Edit: I mean in the way of swearwords, rather than e-mailing people. I learnt to e-mail random people I didn't know with whatever bit of information or comment before I joined fandom, though it has to be said that fandom hasn't exactly stopped me carrying on with the practice.)

Red hair and black leather--my favorite color scheme.

Spain gifts: Do you want considerate, well-thought out gifts, or cheap, stereotypical, lazy-dad-bought-it-at-the-airport gifts?

Toledo is well-known for producing swords, battleaxes, etc, which many tourists buy. It might add a touch of irony if Hank gives Buffy a sword--though I can't rationalize why he would think to get her one.

Someone mentioned the damascene jewlery, which is lovely and is all over Toledo.

You can get some pretty pottery, ceramics, and tiles in southern Spain. Blue and yellow is a favorite color scheme.

Art stuff from one of the museums? Poster/book/print? Picasso/Dalí/Goya/El Greco/Velasquéz/Miró. Might be funny if Hank picked up a Dalí poster for Dawn without really looking at it, and it turned out to be one of the "enormous genitals" sketches.

Cheap and thoughtless: castenets, flamenco dancer dolls (especially if he thinks Dawn's still a kid), España t-shirt, cheap stuff with bulls or windmills on it.

Or he could do what my mother did and bring back a box of Valencia oranges and "forget" to mention it on the customs form.

BASTARDS!

There are better sites out there, without annoying frames or backgrounds. I'll check my bookmarks.

Thanks in part to the latest and greatest fandom kerfuffle, I've given in to the wonder of eFiction.

Big Sexy Man, a Gunn resource, will be officially opening on Sunday, so now's your pre-release chance to get in on the ground floor, as it were.

I'll be adding some sections (like betas and links) soon, and would love stories, beta volunteers, whatever.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

What Fay said. Also, what's the kerfuffle? This is really the only bit of fandom in which I play, so I know nowt of kerfuffles (except that the CSI 'shippers can be scary. )

Plei, while you're around, I also wanted to ask: If I wanted to mention a nice bottle of scotch (it belongs to Wes) in a fic, what would be a good brand and age? IOW, what would cause the most angst to a scotch-lover if the bottle was swilled down by someone who just wanted to get drunk.

Hmm. Well, you don't want to go too far out of the range of what a normal person might have heard of...

Hmm. A nice old bottle of Port Ellen might do... can't be easily replaced, and all.

what's efiction when it's at home?

Efiction is an auto-archiving script that rocks, and that several sites are moving towards if they have a popular character. I wanted to play with it.

Also, what's the kerfuffle? This is really the only bit of fandom in which I play, so I know nowt of kerfuffles

Oh, standard issue character grumblings and no-one actually listening to what anyone is saying. Fans of one character getting sick of being lumped in with the crazy fans of said character, people who are neutral-to-liking said character sick of having to keep repeating that they don't hate the character, and it all having come to a nice little head last weekend.
