No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, that writer makes *me* feel normal. And that ain't easy to do.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

I am sooooooo not going there.

Nuh-uh.

Bloody hell, no.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

You know, these are not bad. They are off-kilter in an aggressively surreal way but also rather endearingly matter-of-fact about the whole absurdity. There's a dollop of pathos in there, even.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Um.

I really like them. Not in a sexy way, but in a this is completely and totally off the wall way - and weirdly charming. With Jetta the tortoise. It's like - has anyone seen the Czech film Conspirators of Pleasure by Jan Svankmajer? It's bemusing, and I don't find the the people's obsessions sexy myself, but it's weirdly disarming and almost sweet, in a way. Just so odd, and vulnerable, and off the wall.

eta

(and they aren't porn - don't fear clicking. They're just very odd.)

Up with the sun

I don't think they're especially bad -- they're just so weird. Roy Orbison! Cling-film! Turtles! And the writer asks for links to other stories about wrapping pop stars in cling-film! It's like RPF from a planet where Saran Wrap has replaced sex.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

See, that's what I said! Charming.

Up with the sun

Charming's probably a good world.

I like the terrapin, especially since I went to Maryland.

brillig

There are strange and bizarre places that even my Erisian tendencies don't want to go for fear of the sheer disorientation.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Dude. It's like, the cling-film person is the coyote trickster, and Roy Orbison is like the wise eagle. Or is it the other way around?

And why the hell am I reading about some German person's obscure cling-film fetish?

How odd. A friend shared that site with me the other day. I particularly like "well-groomed terrapin." It ought to be a band name.
