Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Megan, I think billytea has close contacts in the legal field in Australia. He might know someone to ask.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Billytea's dad is a federal judge, IIRC. Bet he can tell you.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I looked around my empty, large server room, and simply said, "I like it."

God, that sounds nice. At least you have something to compensate for the insane amounts of work.

t eyes her cubicle farm wearily

Past is catching up with you, eh Megan?

Shut up you!

I thought billytea might be a good contact for this question. Maybe I should just email him. Hmmm....

I think it's like 4 a.m. Antipodean time--he may not be up for a few hours yet.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It's been a while since we've done one of these (and msbelle isn't here).

Tell me something that's made you smile recently.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cindy, I haven't had hormones checked in a few years. I hope it's not...well, I don't want any more tests, but I do want this to stop.

Last thing that made me smile, Perkins, was a co-worker giving me the go-ahead to log into the server and poke into the application software myself. Because "ita was the first here with Product X. She knows what she's doing." I needed that after this morning.

What is even happening?

I do want this to stop
Yeah. It's a wonder you're not completely depressed all of the time (I understand your distinction--that these particular headaches bring on a particularly soul-sucking depressive episode, I just mean in general, it's a wonder).

Let's just say that the inside of my head is not a pretty place to visit these days, but I'm pretty controlled (in discrete bursts) about managing the outside world.

Fucking exhausting, and I wish I were introverted enough to become a hermit.

I have just been informed that this might also be a migraine -- so I'ma hit up the triptans just in case.

Well, I do share it with my boss, but we're separated by half a wall, several large cabinets holding digital tapes, and all sound is muffled by server white noise. And he's not here half the time. But I totally prefer to be barricaded in here with my computers to being out in the open.
