Don't belong. Dangerous, like you. Can't be controlled. Can't be trusted. Everyone could just go on without me and not have to worry. People could be what they wanted to be. Could be with the people they wanted. Live simple. No secrets.

Okay, the fashion crisis begins. Is a (ETA: dark) teal cordoroy blazer too casual for a job interview if paired with black dress pants, and a black dress shirt?

This is for a librarian job at a media corporation, and I think the dress standard is pretty casual.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I forget where you are Sue. If your area is more conservative, I'd go a little more formal( but only if you have it ) . Oddly, I d go more formal for a public library.

I don't have any light tops. Unless we talk paisley. No wait! I have one white blouse--but white is so not flattering for me.

Beth, I'm in Nova Scotia. And it's an in-house librarian job for the CBC.

I could do green wool skirt, black or grey shirt, black cardigan.

Brown herringbone pants, light blue turtleneck.

After 8 years of working in one place, my work wardrobe really leans towards funky casual.

How about red linen dress, black cardigan.

Is red too aggressive? Because I have the same dress in blue, it just has an above the knee hemline. And it is November.

I think it sounds fine, Sue. But If you think there might be an expectation of more formality - I'd go with the skirt. I like the all black with blue because it is a sharp combination.
