The Feelies were awesome....
They're my favorite band of all time. And I'm not even sure that their first album is still in print either.
Spike ,'Sleeper'
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Didn't they only have four LPs? COME ON PILGRIM was an EP, and it's on the CD of SURFER ROSA.
The same could be said of Tool, as Opiate is only an EP.
there's nothing they put out I'd consider a great album back to front, let alone of all time.
GHOST IN THE MACHINE! Spirits in the Material World, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, Invisible Sun, Hungry For You, Demolition Man, Too Much Information, Rehumanise Yourself, One World, Omegaman, Secret Journey, Darkness??? Come on! Those are great songs that come together as a great album!
Crazy Rhythms is listed on Amazon as only being available through resellers, and the starting price is $32.99, so I'm guessing it's not in print.

Wow, I just checked Amazon and you're right. This is a truly wicked, evil world.

Plus, French lyrics!

I didn't know that. Though come to think of it, "The Boy With Perpetual Nervousness..."
Did they ever release the cover songs they did in Something Wild? ("I'm a Believer," "Before the Next Teardrop Falls")
Somebody should rip those off the movie if they haven't.

They did not, David. I remember them doing "Young Americans," too, but it's been a while since I watched that movie.

And also Bowie's "Fame". Never released.

So you pro'lly like Luna too, right?
I was bummed when they broke up. But they had a long, productive career.
When I was googling The Feelies, I discovered that I have all four of their albums but not their EP, which I don't think I've heard about before.... Also, I saw them live at least once (awesome show) when they toured behind Only Life.

shrugs They were never more than a "like" band for me. Something about their sound just never clicked for me.
Now if you want to talk about a great run, the first four TALKING HEADS records are pretty impressive back to front, and the last four have a lot of good-to-great songs even if they aren't quite as awe inspiring a LPs. Plus they did one of the greatest concert films of all time.
And given what I've read about the bands internal frictions, I'm amazed they DIDN'T only make 4 or 5 albums.
