Apropos of the recent discussion of iPod shuffles that don't seem random, tonight my iPod in shuffle mode gave me 2 Kylie Minogue songs in a row ("Chocolate" and "The Loco-Motion," for those of you keeping score at home). I have maybe 75 Kylie songs out of, um, over 11,000 on my iPod.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
emusic people: What's the most recent thing you've downloaded and loved? (I have 15 downloads to use up.)
Bright Eyes and Decembrists.
BTW Decembrists show so good. The playing around with the audience was so cute. they are cutieheads.
The new Yo La is peachy keen.
Which decemberist?
(I already nabbed I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass)
The Crane Wife is pretty good. If you don't have any Decemberists, you should get Picaresque or Her Majesty.
The recent Hold Steady is also pretty good. They've recenly acquired the In The Fishtank series, too, of which the Low/Dirty Three combo is excellent and the Isis/Aerogramme is lovely and heavy.
listen to Corwood, he is wise in the ways of good music.
Thanks, to you both!
Thanks, Msbelle! I am poor in the ways of laptop typing, though.
And I hope you find something you enjoy, Lee.
I'm very fond of the Jose Gonzales EPs, and his full-length "Veneer" that I recently acquired.
