Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is he a Battlestar Galactica fan?

OK, if that's a reference to BSG it's a very odd one to make....

Dunno about the old one. But in the new one - in the miniseries they stop at Ragnar Anchorage to pick up munitions after the Cylon attack. It hasn't been mentioned since.

Ha. Wow. good memory. Anyway, this song was written long before the new BSG came about.

I might end up singing "Alf rules" or some other 2-syllable 80s appropriate thing if I can't find out what the real lyric is. I'm open to suggestions.

This, maybe?

According to the Danish chronicler Saxo Grammaticus, the pagan Ragnar belonged to the Swedish Yngling Dynasty, claiming to be a direct descendant of the god Odin.

Also, the Minnesota Vikings' mascot is named Ragnar.

Maybe Tommy Lee is more of a visionary than he's generally given credit for.

Edit: when I say "Tommy Lee," I mean "Vince Neil," as people do.

So, back to the subject of Brazil....

I downloaded a really hot version by a group called Pink Martini. They also have a version by Django Reinhardt which I suspect is intrumental only, but I'm thinking I should download anyway cuz Django Reinhardt. Any other input? Bueller?

Pink Martini is a contemporary group. If you like their "Brazil" you'd probably like their two albums.

Django is great, but yeah, it'll almost certainly be instrumental. You might want to find a version by Carmen Miranda or a forties pop singer. Carmen Miranda, maybe.
