It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

Had to sell the old one to pay for the new one. Can't finishing buying until we're done selling. And congrats to you! (I think I saw something in announcements or somewhere that deserved it. I think my wife wants to talk to you about it.) And could you please send me MC's address if you have it handy? Grazie.

Joe, I'm gonna take it to email since I need your new address, I think. Unless you're still in your old place.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

One thing that may have influenced my playing some of the Buffista Frankenmix more than others was that the earlier sets had a couple more weeks of rotation through my Smartlists, which may have ramped their numbers up some in relation to the songs that came later to my attention. But as a fair approach to judging what songs really hit my buttons, it seems a decent try....

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It was cool to see a couple of mine on there too, Theo.

Beautiful baby pic, David. Keep 'em coming!

In the field of self-pimpage, I wrote a few words about a song I like by the band Akron/Family on my blog today (which is underneath the first paragraph's mea culpa for talking about frivolous music while the American Dream lies burning in the street).

For a couple more weeks at least. Heard this the other day & thought of you:"Tuvan throat singer Albert Kuvezin tells us about his album of classic rock covers: Re-Covers." At times he sounds a lot like Waits, then he'll sound like what TW might if he'd been listening to Diamanda Galas and thought, "Maybe I'll try singing like that." Definitely interesting.

Corwood, re: your rant: you're preaching to the choir, but Amen, brother! Further comment there. And thanks for the R&L video! She was pretty hot back in the day. You already know how I feel about her singing. Sigh.

Excellent! You know else is excellent? I found your package. It had arrived (without me knowing it) and immediately gotten buried under big magazines and did not get unearthed until this morning when I was moving stuff around to get ready for the baby. Yay, book!

I was wondering how long it would take you to see that video, Joe. When Mrs. Industries saw it, she asked how old Linda is in the video. I said 24-25. She said Linda looked mid-30s to her. Yeah, I said, but she still looks pretty close to the same and she's in her 60s now.
