I'm making some playlists to burn for mac, one calm sort of lullabies not only for babies and one upbeat.
I have an hour of calm so far and getting close to 3 hours of upbeat. If you have some favorites for kids, I'd love suggestions.
I am trying to avoid strictly "kids" music, but am also avoiding adult language and situations.

No! Ananda Shankar's cover of "Jumpin' Jack Flash"! or possibly Lord Sitar's cover of the Who's "I Can See For Miles"
This is actually a whole category of discussion amongst Now Sound fans. But Ananda Shankar's cover has the advantage of electric sitar and a Moog on the same track.
If you have some favorites for kids, I'd love suggestions.
Emmett loved Kristen Hersh's version of "Whole Heap of Little Horses" (aka "All the Pretty Horses"). Very quiet and mellow, and minor key melody.
For years I put him to bed to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. It works very well for that. At xmas time we play Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas for bedtime music.

I have Linus and Lucy on the upbeat mix at the moment.
I kinda hope that from listening to the mixes while overseas I can get a feel for where his likes lean.
