Well, I hope above all that you never experience that again. That goes for us all.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
I'm glad things are looking good, David. I was thinking about you two all weekend.
Thanks, all. JZ's fine. She's working her way through a big stack of gossip magazines this morning. I don't think her week will be too taxing.
Okay, I know that I am ancient but isn't it kind of appalling for people who are supposed to be musicians to not know "Won't Get Fooled Again" or "Instant Karma?"
(I'm talking contestants on this year's Rock Star: Supernova. I realize that the RS thread is the one that is also the crafting thread and the Tim Kills people thread -- but I hope you will indulge me.)
Having never seen the show, I was under the impression that the guiding principle behind it is that rock music is more or less only as meaningful as the eyeliner worn by the model currently pretending to be a singer. I know that local americana singer Patrice Pike is on the show this year, but her rep is basically as a female Bob Schneider.
Oh boy -- she is BORING.
FYI, There are two other people who reside in Texas on the show: Zayra Alvarez and Dilana Robichaux. Zayra originally from Puerto Rico and Dilana originally from South Africa. Dilana lives in Houston now and I'm not sure where Zayra lives.
she is BORING.
Lotsa blues riffs, main influence Bob Segar, yes?
They haven't done originals -- but I can totally see that because she does her covers pretty much like a bar blues band.
They brought a European singer whose name escapes me
Salvador Duran?
If so, he was part of their show with Iron & Wine on All Songs Considered and was AMAZING.
