This exists? Where could one purchase a copy? The bf's birthday is coming up and I'm fairly sure he would be quite grateful if I got him this.
You can buy it right here.
It's pretty good, too. A mix of original songs and (basically) baseball filk. Using lots of older soul musicians.
Watched Kate Bush's
The Single File
collection of her early videos through 1983 (pre Hounds).
We were watching the one with minotaurs on roller skates where she's wearing a dunce cap when JZ noted, "Kate's not afraid of the dorky is she?"
"It's one of her enduring charms, along with her deep drama-nerd commitment to mime."
Jilli, did you know there was a video for "Hammer Horror"?
Thanks for the link!
Glad to - I just met the guy who put that album together at my last A's game. He knows JZ's Dad.

Hec, have you seen the KATE BUSH LIVE AT THE HAMMERSMITH ODEON video (I have no idea if it's on DVD or not)? It had to be pre-THE DREAMING (still my favorite of hers) as the most recent songs are from the third album. Both of these qualities are in abundant display. However, so is the fact that she's a stone hottie (not to mention flexible - oh wait, I just did), so it makes for a potent combo.
Big Big Lights
by Sleater-Kinney just came on my iPod. Sad now.
I downloaded a whole bunch of S-K from a friend who was a big fan. I've got "Dig Me Out" stuck in my head today.
That Touch & Go 25th Anniversary weekend in Chicago that I'm planning to attend in September? They just announced that Big Black will be playing a couple of songs. Oh yeah!
