I think of it as short for "everybody put your heads up", so no apostrophe. Of course, then it should be "everybody put your head up", since each person only has one, so nevermind. This is the muddle that thinking can get you into.

Heh. It's revealed in the opening scene. I have an abiding interest in British Invasion music movies, and some of them are superfab. After the two Beatles movies (and actually, I'd place it before Help!), the Dave Clark Five movie, Having A Wild Weekend is probably the best. It's John Boorman's first movie and has great music and some fantastic set pieces and it's surprisingly downbeat at times. But Cliff Richards and the Shadows and Herman's Hermits both made multiple movies. There's an excellent mod film, Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush that I managed to dig up in gray market DVD.
Also, I'm fascinated by Japanese Group Sound movies from the mid to late sixties. They're all basically like Monkees episodes, but mod and Japanese. I own one, Go Forward, starring The Spiders. They were the most popular GS band and did three movies. I think they had a TV show like The Monkees too. The Tigers also did at least one movie.
