Wow. I may not agree with or like Chuck Eddy that often, but he sure as hell doesn't deserve that treatment.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

No joke. He also wrote the saddest "I just got fired" e-mail ever: [link]
... it would of course be great to keep getting unfathomable piles of promo CDs to listen to every day. Problem is, I can’t tell you yet where to send them; in my neighborhood in Queens, turns out there’s a 10-day waiting list for PO Boxes. As soon as I have one, I’ll be sending you another email, letting you know where to send the music you want me to hear. Meanwhile, if you have ideas about where I should go from here, or if you just want to drop me a note ...
That really sucks. Chuck did a great piece for the Bubblegum book and was very helpful. He doesn't deserve that.
Fucking New Times.
Would it be rude for someone that didn't contribute to the mix to download tracks from those that did? I'm asking for a, er, friend.
I don't think that's rude. Go to.
I am curious if we need to shuffle the schedule to let those who haven't contributed do so sooner than later.
CI, what do you think about reworking the same schedule, only from this point forward? It looks like folks (me included) all got busy at the same time. Tax time, maybe?
ION, I've had a heck of a time honing my playlist to come in under 80 minutes, and still include the tracks I reeeally want. A fun challenge.
OK!

Robert Pollard (and his all-star band) played for 2 1/2 hours last night! Like his albums, the songs were hit or miss, but the hit ratio was pretty good. The band was rock solid. I don't remember Jon being that versatile with Superchunk. Tommy Keene was great and looked like he was having a blast. And did I mention? Two-And-A-Half Hours!
Thanks for that updated calendar, Corwood. My apologies for my slackeriness, things have been a little crazy around here lately, and putting a mix together just has not been able to make it on the agenda.
Wait, there's more Frankenmix to come? Did I miss something? (Aside from Sean's late contribution-to-come, that is.)
