I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

growing up straight isn’t something that happens. It requires good parenting.

Because in the wild, you see, everything is gay. Cavemen? Gay. Ancient Egyptians? Please. Honestly, everyone up until the birth of Christ -- gay, because no Christian family values! Oh, maybe the girls weren't gay (due to the immense drawing power of the penis), but let's be honest here, who cares?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

not for nuthin, but if they are gonna say that gay is a choice, they have to also say straight is a choice, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not if gay is something that straight people can choose to be. Like how my blonde hair is more of a choice than not bleaching it is.

Fact is, Captain Logic has been sent to walk the plank on that particular tugboat. They will do nothing that doesn't serve their precise ends.

I'm not sure I think it's that, but I'm kind of mystified how they think this is supposed to work.

It's based on an old psychoanalytic idea about identification with the same-sex parent. Noticing superficial physical similarities to the same-sex parent is supposed to lead the child to identify with and take on the more complicated sex-specific values and behaviors of the same-sex parent.

As is the case for most old psychoanalytic ideas, it is difficult to find any evidence to support this one.

I heard Batman's voice in my head when I read this, and cannot explain just how funny that was to me.

I heard Batman's voice in my head when I read this, and cannot explain just how funny that was to me.

And yet, I imagine many people understand just how funny it was.

Always Anti-fascist!

Ok, so a straight psycho's better... good to know. And all gay guys don't act like girls.(I know ya'll know that better than me, but has not Mr. Dobson ever been surprised on who says they're gay?) All gay women don't act like men. So what's the penis test for? bleah. Not that I think it hurts boys to talk about their bodies with their dads.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cass—fwiw, I just found a beautiful, brand new upright Dyson on ebay for almost half price.
Kristin! Who did you use to clean your carpets? I am thinking of taking the plunge. And thanks, I will check out my options today.
