Nah, it's stupid for me not to reschedule the glasses until Monday -- I'm not going to have any work to do then. It's just so annoying that I sit here all afternoon like lalala and then at 4:30 he's all OMG!!!!

In bad news, he just asked if I can work late tonight, and I just made a 5pm eye exam appointment at the place downstairs. BAH.
well then, wouldn't the answer be no?
eta: oops, xpost
I was hacked off when I discovered that OSX removed the "Print Window" feature, dude.nods "Can I get a printout listing the files on this cd?" "No."

I've never tried this, but can't you do that from a terminal window? Like:
ls > printername
or somesuch?
eta: You can use the lpr command to do that....
I was hacked off when I discovered that OSX removed the "Print Window" feature, dude. Of course, I have two boxes running OS9 on my desk, so it doesn't matter, but still!
Oh, me too. Of course you can create a workaround using command-shift-4, but if it's a long menu you then have to piece the PDFs together. And as my usual practice was to print CD menu windows 30 seconds before I had to throw them in packages and peal out for Fed Ex, not so much with the convenience.
OMG, this is the stupidest thing ever. I went out to reschedule the appt (which I just made at lunch), because of course I didn't have the phone number, and on my way back in, I heard there was about to be a fire drill. So I came back up, sat down, the fire alarms went off, went back outside, and now am back inside waiting for my boss to finish whatever thing he's doing that he wants me to carry around the corner, which is why he asked if I could stay. He can't walk around the corner? I don't care so much, since I get paid by the hour.
ah, academia.... that is the stupidest thing ever.
This is kind of fun, in a geeky way

La la la, I might be doing this for a DVD right now while watching the parking lot for the FedEx truck, la la la.
