I would say that frosting has some form of solid or near-solid fat -- either butter, shortening, or whipped cream -- while icing has either water or milk, or I suppose it could be made with cream, though I've never seen that.

The CI icings:

Chocolate Butter Icing

9 ounces bittersweet chocolate , or semisweet
8 tablespoons unsalted butter (1 stick)
1/3 cup light corn syrup

Buttermilk Icing

2 tablespoons cream cheese , softened
2 tablespoons buttermilk
1 cup confectioners' sugar (4 ounces)

Also randomly, I learned how to take screenshots on a mac and it's unaccountably easy.

How? I thought I knew but not. And there are times I go through weird contortions when a screenshot would be the easier solution.

Cass, it's shift-4-Apple. Then you'll get a cursor. Drag and release the cursor around what you want a shot of. When you release it will automatically save what you took a picture of as PDF on your desktop. Nifty, huh?
