Elgin police tail mystery over monkey: [link]
Officers have talked to two adults and two children who reported seeing an animal that looked like a monkey earlier this week....
Buena Vista resident Tameka Madden, 15, said she saw a dark brown monkey peer at her from atop a playground slide before it climbed a tree.
"We came back out with flashlights and even tried to lure it out with a banana, but it ran away," she said. "Maybe it escaped from a zoo, but they have to catch it, because if someone gets bitten, then someone's going to be in trouble."
A bunch of us in my office go out to lunch on Thursdays. Today we ended up at a Greek restaurant.. They had a buffet--so much garlicy, meaty goodness. Now I'm barely able to keep my eyes open.
I haven't had ramen noodles in the house since we kept a package for too long and all the insect eggs that were lodged within hatched.

I'm really having a hard time THINKING. Arg. And staying awake. Stupid drugs. In the morning, no effect on my alertness, and now the second dose is kicking my ass. Nondrowsy, hah. No such creature for me.
