Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sirius/Remus is my new obsession in the fandom.

I need more recs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Everything I've got is on PolyRecs.

You should also try Victoria's recs. Her site is unfitforsociety.net, and I think the more recent recs go in an LJ of the same name (unfitforsociety).

Shoebox Project (I've linked directly to the first story.)

Warnings: 1) The 'verse is technically a WIP, but I think that the stories stand on their own, sort of. Do not let an aversion to WIPs stop you! and 2) They have a sort-of problem with their image server that seems to have never really gotten resolved, so some in-story pictures might be missing. I haven't re-read any in a long time, though, so I'm not sure.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Why do people diss the story when they send feedback?

And I don't mean critical feedback, I mean "usually I prefer stories with beginnings and ends and not just middles, but I liked this".

W.T.F.?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Er.

...

...nope, I got nuthin'. Except "People = Teh Stoopid", which I realise is a most ungrateful response to feedback, and yet...it's from the heart.

And I don't mean critical feedback, I mean "usually I prefer stories with beginnings and ends and not just middles, but I liked this".

There's "hey, you made me like something I normally don't, and that's kind of cool!" feedback, and then there's, "hey, I'm going to be kind of a douchebag right now, just because I can!" feedback.

Sorry you got the latter, Consuela.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yeah, I kinda had to stop and make sure I've left the former, and that it wasn't the latter. 'Cause I say, "You made me like stuff I usually don't read or like" a lot, and I've meant it as a compliment.
