Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm the flip side, I guess. I tested myself last night, to see if I could make it through stuff that wouldn't make me blink in any other fandom, and I just couldn't do it.

Oddly, this is me too. I didn't have a problem with River/Simon really, but I just can't read Wincest. Unless it honks, or has gremlins.

It's the other stuff like wingfic and rpf that I never thought I would read.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It's so beautiful to see barriers broken for other people. It reminds me of the halcyon days of my youth, before popslash systemically destroyed everything I thought I knew about myself and rebuilt me into something...well, if not better, then certainly hella more open-minded about fic. And pairings. And the 'cest. And wings, and AUs, and kink, and animorphing, and threesomes, and orgy-fic, and sex pollen, and, and, and.

Well, this is more what I was talking about, actually. I still cringe at most Wincest, and especially parent/child.

I started out and am still, basically, a gen girl. In any fandom. Shenannigans are ancillary to good, plotty gen, for me. PWP is fun, and I do enjoy it, but gen remains a basic food group. Not grope, as I started to type.

My boundaries are mutable. I may be able to Go There in one fandom and not another. It all depends on the characters and how I relate to them.

Ooh, looka that, 5000!

SA, I hear you. But in my case, I was already really open-minded IRL about a lot of things that bore me in fic. Maybe because it's not new discovery for me. I have very few squicks, actually--there's more I don't read because of boredom than stuff I avoid due to squick.

See, everything in there is basically fun. Except for the 'cest. I *saw* the River/Simon. I could just never go there. It just...no. Too much parent/child in that particular pairing.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It all depends on the characters and how I relate to them.

Except for sex pollen. There's always room for sex pollen.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So many terms I have no idea what they mean.

Give it time, Aimee. Give it time.

Sex pollen probably means exactly what you think it means.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thank you Aimee!

Also, for some reason, the only thing I cannot read is wingfic. I'll read incest or rpf, but the wing thing just seems as crazy as the my little pony fic. I am sure, though, someday someone will post a great wingfic, and I will be sucked into that, too.
