Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'Underneath'

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's a database? Cool. Are there vids for Closer (NIN, not Maxwell) or Outside by Staind & Durst?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, my god, I bet there are ten times as many as in the database.

And sisabet's Angel vid to "Closer" is fairly legendary, ita. I'm surprised you haven't seen it yet. There's also a mindfuck Star Trek: TOS vid to it.

You know, I may have ... who's featured?

I was thinking of both in a Spuffy context. They seem perfect.

Angel and Spike.

Thrive to spite them

Closer is spike and angel, it's amazing really. Sisabet's site is headtilt.com

The database has links to lots of vids , it's buffyvids.com. Neither is password protected.

The TOS vid is incredible. Great editing and a really good constructed reality.

Also check out Sisabet's vid Two Words. It's really good, really dense with a lot going on, but really good.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I don't love the Spike/Angel one as much as I want to--I think maybe I know the context too well, and so I can't surrender to the vidder's interpretation. The Kirk/Spock is incredible, though. (Maybe if I knew that source as well as I know Angel, I'd have the same reaction--I dunno.)

Now I want to watch vids as soon as I get home instead of work on packing.

sisabet's "Closer" was one of the first vids that grabbed the hell out of me. Then I went to Escapade, saw my first vid show, and was doomed.
