In my Veronica Mars re-watch, I also started reading a Veronica Mars S1 re-write where a few major plot points are different, but many of the mystery of the week storylines are the same. Yep, I am getting things mixed up.

Looks like there are a couple of Calibre plugins that might do it, but that's probably more work than you want to put into it.
