Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

I have generally useless areas of expertise. But I'm happy so maybe it all balances out.

Someone in LA needs to sacrifice a brown goat (not white or grey) so the rain can stop.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You know, I'd be happy to sacrifice a goat for someone, but the people who want goat sacrifices are always so damn picky....

There's a reason, tommyrot. Brown stops the rain. Grey starts the rain. And white goats sacrificed cause snow.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

But the shot pattern is so wide, if you miss with a shotgun, really, a reload can't help you.

BMECT! :) If you miss, firing again can help, particularly with a tight choke.

Also, for people who can't see the difference easily: if it's got two barrels, it's a shotgun. If it has a sight, it's a rifle.

Another Woot for the pile: I got a small check from USC today. It was roughly the amount that the republicans stole from my tax return.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It is very sad how much I know about the form but not the function of long guns. Or just disturbing.

I thought some shotguns had scopes. I'm not positive, though.

shotgun pellets (what are they really called?)

Shot.

Occasionally it's referred to as "buckshot."
