I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

so this is our V-day. DH gave me some choclate that his co-workers kid was selling. yay!

and DH is away. some years ago I got some silver champagne flutes for us as an anniversary gift - with the idea that someday we were going to end up separated on an " important day. Like my birthday. our anniversary. his birthday, etc. So I packed up 1 flute - a bottle of sparkleing cider., a card and some conversation hearts in gift bag - so we can toast together while on the phone.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Umm, hello? Entire universe not about stupid couple-behavior guilt?

Oh, my GOD. I would have laughed heartily in her face.

I am of the firm opinion that Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and New Year's Eve are for suckers*. Also, now Election Day has been added to that list.

  • Note: not actually calling anyone enjoying said holiday a sucker. It is merely but a figure of speech, that means, "all hype, little meaning." Like the Fear Demon!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

weeps

Sorry, I thought Allyson had you covered.

And ita hasn't found the right man to kick her in the head yet.

I think she'd rather have a man that she can kick in the head. But only every once in awhile (semi annually), or she'd lose respect.

I choo-choo-choose all of you.

"And there's a picture of a train."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I Choo-Choo-Choose You.

Huh. That train looks a bit... psychotic.

Yeah, see, I've had great Valentine's Days and great NYEs. But I never saw them as anything but opportunities to do something fun.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Because I think "Allyson is smart and a babe. Feisty, too And she doesn't have one...maybe it's not easy." And ita hasn't found the right man to kick her in the head yet.

AWESOME EGO STROKE! It's a twofer, because I'm all flattered to be grouped with ita in the smart babe category.

I'm going to go to Trader Joe's and make out with a cashier or something.
