Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Thanks, Jilli. The odd thing is, some kinds of work are a welcome distraction--my novel page count has soared in the past few days--but my logistics/detail energy has always had its limits, and right now what I have is 100% taken up by job search and the editor cancelation/replacement crisis for the October writers conference (a much more trivial but very time-consuming issue that came up after I volunteered).

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Jilli, this is probably going to sound weird - but if I can help at all from down here, give a yelp, okay?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, that and the fact that I am dreadful at event planning. But I can work around that.

Like I said, I'm happy to put on my producer hat and bug some hotels and the visitors bureau and fun things like that.

Actually, I already started.

Believe me, I will. Event planning SO not my strong point.

Thank you very much.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Yeah, but if they can't see you in person, I don't think you're getting the full benefit of the producer hat.

Well, exactly. I mean, you could try just describing it over the phone, but "Would you like to know what I'm wearing?" may not be the most businesslike opener.

You're right. I should start with somthing coy like "do you rattle? if so, may I worship you?"

Super Porny Pants, starting with something coy since... Oh, since she started arranging her men in order of coyness.

You're first in my heart. And my coy pile.
